Beach Boys Be True To Your School (Comp, Mono, Quiex, Shrink)
Compilation of tracks that were pulled from other Capitol reissues in the late 70's when they trimmed 12-song sets to 10 songs. This version of 'Be True Your School' is the version with the Honeys as cheerleaders, never before on LP. Original 1982 MONO green label pressing pressed at Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Jacksonville ('0' stamp in dead wax run-outs). Pressed on translucent (when held to light) QUIEX vinyl.
Vinyl has a very slight shelf warp that does not affect play and a couple faint paper sleeve scuffs just holding grade back from NM. Labels are excellent. Cover has SHRINK-WRAP meticulously taped along the right side edge inside the sleeve just holding cover grade back from NM.
If you’re not familiar with QUIEX, it's like this: As CDs began coming on the scene in the 1980’s, record companies started pressing “Quiex II” LPs primarily for radio stations. The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded just as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. If too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! This translucent (when held to light) AUDIOPHILE beauty is one of those pressings!
