Tim Buckley S/T (1970 Red Lbl RE)
1970 Elektra red label-big E reissue of Tim Buckley's self-titled debut album. (MR) stamp in dead wax run-outs denotes a Monarch Record Mfg. Co. pressing. Vinyl has a slight warp that does not affect play and a few light surface sleeve scuffs/hazing holding grade down, nothing I can feel though. Labels have a couple very faint spindle marks at center holes. Original Elektra inner sleeve has dinged/creased corners and a piece of tape around center of bottom edge. Cover has light cornerwear/edgewear, a ding/crease bottom right corner, a light ding at bottom left corner, and light ringwear/hazing.
Songs: I Can't See You, Wings, Song of the Magician, Song Slowly Song, Grief is My Soul, and others.
From the album liner notes: "TIM BUCKLEY an incredibly thin wire, just nineteen-years-old, is already a kind of quintessence of nouvelle, the sensitivity apparent in the very fineness of his features. The man is a study in fragile contrasts; yet everything is in key, precise. His songs are exquisitely controlled, quiet, complex mosaics of powerful electric sound, they hold the magic of Japanese water colors. The voice - crisp, full of strength and character - can soar, yet remain tender and delicate."
