Velvet Underground S/T (ASCAP West Coast 1st Press, Closet Mix, Shrink)
Original 1969 FIRST U.S. pressing which features Lou Reed's "Closet Mix". This is West Coast pressing with "All Selections Published By Virpi, Inc. (ASCAP)" printed on the labels. A-side label lists "What Goes On" as 3:35 instead of 4:52, as correctly listed on back cover. Includes the original "Sounds of Now" MGM inner sleeve. Cover has shrink-wrap meticulously taped along the right side edge inside jacket and around the bottom left corner which has been cut (see photos).
DEEP GROOVE vinyl has a few light surface sleeve scuffs/hazing holding grade back, nothing I can feel though. Vinyl plays through with 5-6 ticks/pops scattered throughout and some light background noise during quieter parts. Track A1 "Candy Says" has 4-5 ticks/pops but play through fine. Labels are excellent. Original "Sounds of Now" MGM inner sleeve has creased right side corners and a 1-inch seam split center of left side edge. Cover has shrink-wrap meticulously taped along the right side edge inside jacket (pictured) and around the bottom left corner, which has a been cut, holding grade back. Some sticker residue on shrink-wrap along the taped edges.
