Tears For Fears The Hurting (PRC-C, Quiex, Masterdisk, Shrink, Inner)
Original 1983 Mercury AUDIOPHILE issue pressed on translucent (when held to light) PURPLE QUIEX VINYL and 'MASTERDISK' stamped in the dead wax run-outs. '26' printed on labels denotes a PRC-Compton pressing. Includes original lyric inner sleeve and cover still in the shrink-wrap!
Vinyl has a few faint surface sleeve scuffs just holding grade back from NM, nothing I can feel. Labels are excellent. Original inner sleeve has smushed/creased bottom corners and long seam splits at the middle of bottom and side edges. Cover in the original shrink-wrap has a slight bend/crease top left corner of front cover, a small scratch/rip through the shrink near top right corner of front cover, a light bump bottom right corner and a touch of wear along the exposed right side edge and top right corner. Shrink-wrap split at the right side of bottom edge and price sticker top right corner of front cover on shrink.

If you’re not familiar with QUIEX, it's like this: As CDs began coming on the scene in the 1980’s, record companies started pressing “Quiex II” LPs primarily for radio stations. The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded just as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. If too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! This translucent (when held to light) AUDIOPHILE beauty is one of those pressings!
