Original 1956 mono Jazztone Society Classic compilation. Features early Getz quintet recordings with Jimmy Raney, Horace Silver, Tommy Potter, Roy Haynes; and quartet recordings with 3 different sets of players, 2 songs by each combo: 1) Jimmy Raney, Al Haig, Tiny Kahn; 2) Al Haig, Tommy Potter, Roy Haynes; 3) Horace Silver, Joe Calloway, Walt Bolden.

Deep groove vinyl has a few faint surface sleeve scuffs just holding grade back from NM, nothing I can feel. Labels have a couple faint spindle marks. Flip-back cover has heavy cornerwear, a ding bottom left corner, edgewear and moisture wear/staining along spine edge.
