The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded just as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. If too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! Original 1983 ECM U.S. gatefold 2xLP pressed on translucent (when held to light) QUIEX AUDIOPHILE quality vinyl. "MASTERDISK" stamped in the dead wax run-outs and "TD" initials etched on record 2 side 1.
Record 1 is NM and excellent all-around. Record 2 grades VG++ with a few light surface sleeve scuffs on side 1 just holding grade back, nothing I can feel. Labels are ell excellent. Gatefold cover has a touch of cornerwear/edgewear, a small ding bottom right corner, and a hint of very faint ringwear just holding grade back from NM.
