Police Synchronicity (Quiex, Masterdisk RL LP+45)
This is an Original, LIMITED 1983 QUIEX VIRGIN TRANSLUCENT PURPLE VINYL LP pressing from the Police. YELLOW, BLUE, RED color pattern on cover. It is also a MASTERDISK RL pressing (Robert Ludwig). Ludwig was a master at mastering and his albums typically sound better than most.
Vinyl has some surface sleeve scuffs holding grade down, nothing I can feel though. Plays with a touch of background noise in a very few spots, one tic. MASTERDISK stamped and RL etched in dead wax. Labels are excellent. Original inner sleeve has cornerwear, light handling wear. Cover has heavier cornerwear, edgewear, ringwear. Comes with BONUS PICTURE SLEEVE 45 (not included originally when LP was sold, but added HERE for YOU) of Every Breath You Take / Murder By Numbers. Sleeve has minor handling wear (Strong VG+). Vinyl has some light surface sleeve scuffs (Strong VG+). Vinyl has MASTERDISK stamped and RL etched in dead wax.
If you’re not familiar with Quiex, it's like this: As CDs began coming on the scene in the 1980s, record companies started pressing Quiex II lps for primarily for radio stations. The idea was to show that vinyl was still king and sounded as good--or better--than CDs. MOST Quiex pressings were marked as Quiex that were shipped to radio. But if too many were pressed, they were packaged as regular LPs and those lucky enough to unknowingly buy them were then blessed with clearer sound! This translucent PURPLE Audiophile beauty IS one of those pressings.
